In 1957, Dan and Mildred Schantz purchased a farm in Lehigh County, ten miles south of Allentown, Pennsylvania. At that time, our main crops were fruits and vegetables, which were retailed at local farmer’s markets and a road stand.

For over 40 years we have been a major grower, packer, and shipper on the East Coast. We take our fall crops quite seriously. We start with the best seed available, stay on a strict 7-day spray schedule, pick and pack with the retailer in mind, and ship on our own trucks in the Northeastern states to insure prompt delivery.

Specializing in providing quality uniformed packed product for Supermarkets. From a straight load of one item to a 24-pallet mixer, we can handle it all. For the fall season were growing over 900 acres of fall ornamentals, come join our program to insure a profitable fall season.

Gourds are a crop that we have taken pride in for over 35 years. Our fancy selection of brightly colored and warted gourds is available in ½ bushel boxes, with a shellacked, shiny clear finish. Ornamental Indian corn is dried to ensure trouble free delivery; all Indian corn is bunched in three’s with UPC codes.

Painted pumpkins have become a large part of our fall season. In the last few years this category has increased incredibly, we offer a wide selection of sizes and designs. Call for colored pictures (available e-mailed) our additional information.

Dan Schantz (owner) was selected Master Farmer of Pennsylvania in 1987, a lifetime achievement award. He has served as president of the Marketing & Research Board for Pennsylvania Agriculture. As a leader in Pennsylvania Horticulture, he takes great pride in striving for the highest quality crops.
